The pandemic has placed a heavy burden on food supply chains. As a result, the cost of groceries increased by 4.1% since the pandemic started. Unfortunately, in 2021, Americans will have to stretch their paychecks even further.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Economic Research Service, there will be cost growths for practically everything we eat. The prices for “at home” food will grow by between 1% to 2% in 2021 while eating out costs will jump by 2% or 3%.

As traditional weddings were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, it wasn’t just the young couples who say their plans wither away but also flower farms, caterers, bands, and wedding planners.

Couples who saved for their big day in 2020 should continue to do so as prices in 2021 are expected to increase, according to Brides magazine. In attempting to make up for the dramatic losses in 2020, wedding vendors announced the demand for 2021 is very high in terms of wedding venues and services, therefore, wedding services are also projected to become more expensive.
