This method works best when you have a habit of buying the same thing or you’re doing a repetitive action.

Always ask yourself this question “How much do I spend on this in a year if I buy it every day?”

For example, if you like to buy some snacks at work from the vending machine and you pay around $30 dollars a week, that’s $1.500 in a year. $1.500 you’re removing from your budget for snacks. Is it worth it?

You’ll notice that by doing this simple calculation you will be more careful about what you spend your money and this habit adds up to a substantial sum in the end.
