Another smart method to stay within your budget and make sure you only buy the things you need is going at Costco with a friend to give you a helping hand in staying on track.
Try bringing someone who is not in the same overspending league as you are. Or, to make things more entertaining and challenging, you could turn your shopping trip into a saving game. Whoever saves the most money at the end will receive some small treat (or anything that motivates you) from the person who lost. Or pays for coffee!
