Be informed about Costco price codes
If you know Costco’s special pricing codes, then you can be sure that your entire shopping trip will be successful. Items are usually marked to let customers know they have a special price, they are discounted or will not be restocked.
For example, prices ending in $0.97 indicate a markdown from their original rate, generally $0.99. If a product you like has an asterisk (*) in the upper-right corner, it means it will not be restocked, so you better buy it while you can. Prices ending in $0.88 or $0.00 indicate items returned in good condition that have been marked down.
