As you might already know, Costco is considered to be the grocery stores’ leader when it comes to low prices. This makes it a lot more difficult to find good deals, but don’t worry, we have some tips for you.

Even though there are a lot of stores you can choose from, Costco made sure it still has some considerable purchasing power, which gives it the chance to keep the costs low.

If you want to get more things for less, you can go to Costco’s website and choose a membership plan that works for you. Even though you have to pay for it, you will save a lot of money in the long run.

Biggest problem at Costco is the XXXL containers. Keep in mind the item may expire or get lumpy or old before you are able to use it all. You may end up trashing half of an item which will make it much more expensive than elsewhere.
Fresh baked goods – all of them – are a great buy and clothes are extremely inexpensive and high quality: many name brands are stocked as well as the Costco brand Kirkland.
Large packages of batteries are a real great price.
I always check prices at Costco before buying at Amazon. Better buys are almost always at Costco, unless you need a smaller quantity.
Another great thing is that Costco will always return items (even food) if you don’t like it. Amazon has a 30 day return policy, most items are free shipping to return. I always make certain I am buying a “free shipping and return” item when buying from Amazon.
I often buy fresh dinner items, divide and freeze in smaller containers. I can then have a great meal by thawing and putting in the microwave.
