2. Rotisserie Chicken
Costco price: $4.99 for the whole chicken
Boston Market price: $8.49 for half chicken and two sides
Cooked rotisserie chicken is great for putting together a nice and healthy dinner, adding it in salads, or even saving the leftovers for lunch the next day.
As much as you love eating this, you have to pay a little extra for this comfort. But not if you are buying it from Costco. If you are a member, you can get a whole appetizing cooked chicken for $4.99 only.
If you don’t believe us when we tell you that this is a great deal, compare the price to Boston Market, where you pay almost twice for only a half of chicken and two sides.
In 2020, Costo sold 101 million rotisserie chickens. If we do the math, this means that people purchased 300,000 chickens a day.

Biggest problem at Costco is the XXXL containers. Keep in mind the item may expire or get lumpy or old before you are able to use it all. You may end up trashing half of an item which will make it much more expensive than elsewhere.
Fresh baked goods – all of them – are a great buy and clothes are extremely inexpensive and high quality: many name brands are stocked as well as the Costco brand Kirkland.
Large packages of batteries are a real great price.
I always check prices at Costco before buying at Amazon. Better buys are almost always at Costco, unless you need a smaller quantity.
Another great thing is that Costco will always return items (even food) if you don’t like it. Amazon has a 30 day return policy, most items are free shipping to return. I always make certain I am buying a “free shipping and return” item when buying from Amazon.
I often buy fresh dinner items, divide and freeze in smaller containers. I can then have a great meal by thawing and putting in the microwave.
