3. District of Columbia
Testing for Covid-19 is not mandatory for those who are fully vaccinated or for those who have tested positive for the new coronavirus within the last 90 days and don’t have any symptoms. However, there are some private institutions and local government officials that may ask for a negative test.
Unvaccinated visitors who are traveling from Maryland or Virginia, or if they are in DC for no more than 24 hours don’t need a Covid-19 test. If people from other states want to visit DC, they will need a negative Covid-19 test 1 to 3 days before traveling.
If a visitor tests positive while in the District of Columbia, they are required to complete their isolation before going back home. Also, close contacts who are susceptible must complete a 10-day quarantine.
Since July 31st, 2021, all people who are over the age of two must wear masks indoors, even if they are fully vaccinated.
