4. Check out the date
When you are scrolling through the reviews and you spot several that were posted on the same date, usually, something is off. It might be the seller who used several methods of getting good reviews, such as gift cards, discount codes or special promotions.
If there are a lot of bad reviews posted on the same date, it might be the competition who found a way to try and discredit that company. But that doesn’t mean it is a good method to gain awareness for your brand and product and especially not credibility.
5. Five-star ratings
In many cases, just like we’ve talked previously, sellers may contact people in order to get great reviews. This also means that they can request full five-star ratings.
Of course there might be people who are honest, but if a product has a lot of five-star ratings with not that many details in the reviews, that is not ok.
If you want to get some honest opinions, look for the ratings below five-stars, because they usually present both pros and cons when it comes to that product you are looking at.
We live in a world that is so addicted to what people say, that you can’t even decide what is true and what is not. You don’t see fake news just on TV, but almost everywhere, especially when it comes to online shopping.
Focus on the tips above, read them again when you need to and start analyzing the reviews you see and if you don’t believe anything, than buy the product yourself and write your own honest review.
Who knows, you might help somebody with your true words.
Good luck spotting the fake reviews!
