4. Charity
We love a company that is not all about receiving, but also about giving! Walmart has charitable initiatives going on regularly. For example, in 2020, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation donated $25 million to SARS-CoV-2 causes. In addition to that, the giant retailer donates money and also supplies to communities that are affected by natural disasters, such as tornadoes, floods, and hurricanes.
Since the Internet is full of information about sustainability, Walmart came up with an idea. The company teamed up with H&M and IKEA and developed “Race to Zero”. They have a goal to limit their greenhouse gas emissions to zero in the next 30 years, which means by 2050.
5. Premium brands
We already know that you can find shoes, accessories, streetwear clothes, and pajamas at Walmart (for both kids and adults), but did you know that the giant retailer has started carrying premium brands?
The company bought Bonobos.com, which is an online clothing retailer that creates clothes for men, and also Shoebuy.com, which is now simply Shoes.com. In 2020, the brand Justice closed its physical stores, but Walmart only saw the opportunity. The retailer bought this teenage clothing line, which is the perfect place when it comes to buying clothes for school.
It seems like Walmart wants to have everything because now it’s also the owner of the website Moosejaw.com, which is an outdoors apparel website, and it also has the website Allswell, which specializes in home goods.
6. Self-checkout registers
Having to stay several minutes waiting in the line for your products to be checked out doesn’t feel good at all. In the past, Walmart was known for its slow checkouts and long lines. The good thing is that they found a way to fix that and to get their customers back.
In the last few years, Walmart has implemented self-checkout registers. They are overseen by a single employee and they make shopping so much easier!

I dislike the self check out. There is no room for your groceries and the machine keeps telling you that you are doing something wrong. The only thing I can do is buy less. Ordinarily I would fill up my cart and go thru the check out line where they bag it for you too. I like the prices at Walmart but, this self checkout keeps me from going there.
