1. Food upgrades

Since 2018, Walmart improved the produce sections at several of its over 4,000 stores that are found in the U.S. Depending on the store you want to go to, you will find charcuterie, sushi, and also gourmet cheese. In addition to that, the bakery aisle received a makeover as well. Now you can find tastier and fresher products.

The company doesn’t stop here! They have opened a Culinary & Innovation Center test kitchen near the headquarters from Arkansas, in order to come up with ideas and develop new food items.

Since the whole world seemed to be focused on buying more organic produce, Walmart listened and understood. You can find many organic items on the shelves, including those from brands such as Great Value, which is a low-cost organic line.

3. Curbside pick-up with no extra money

People who want to buy groceries from Walmart can place their order online and afterward drive to their local store. They will have their car loaded with the groceries by staff, without having to pay any extra money. Customers don’t need to leave their cars or go inside the store.

Another thing that Walmart has added to its plan is creating a dedicated area to pick up things that are not grocery items but bought online as well. This way, customers won’t have to walk around in the stores, looking for the things they want. Using this feature doesn’t require having a membership and there is no surcharge. If the item someone is looking for is already on the shelves of the store they are going to, they can pick it up on the same day. You just have to make sure that this feature is available in your area.

  1. I dislike the self check out. There is no room for your groceries and the machine keeps telling you that you are doing something wrong. The only thing I can do is buy less. Ordinarily I would fill up my cart and go thru the check out line where they bag it for you too. I like the prices at Walmart but, this self checkout keeps me from going there.
