What’s her take on foreign policy?
This is one of the rare areas where Harris has backed Biden but occasionally sought to stake out her stance.
As vice president, she has increasingly represented the US and Biden at significant meetings of world leaders, including at the Munich Security Conference and the Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland.
But in recent months, she has also started to split from Biden a bit, most notably in her remarks regarding the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. Given the immense suffering there, she called for an immediate ceasefire in March.
This is a considerable contrast with the president, who has long been a relentless supporter of Israel and backed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s war effort despite an icy relationship between the two men.
