Yes, most outdoor activities are considered safe. But when it comes to large events such as parades, live performances, or sporting events, health experts still recommend precaution. That’s because the chances of contracting COVID-19 are smaller but not non-existent, explains Saskia Popescu, Ph.D., an epidemiologist at the University of Arizona in Phoenix.
