4. Buying Costco’s Frozen Baked Products Is a Better Deal
When you think of Costco bakery goods, what comes to mind? Chances are you think about the freshly baked items laid out on shelves near the refrigerated products section where the cakes are displayed. But let me tell you a little secret: Costco also sells many of its baked products as frozen goods in the freezer aisles. The better part? They are often a better deal!
According to some Costco employees, a pack of 24 cookies found in the fresh section of the bakery is $7.99. However, ask an employee for a box full of the frozen version, and you’ll get 180 cookies for $34.99. Don’t worry, we did the math for you.
One fresh cookie comes out to around $0.33, while the frozen one is more like $0.19 each. It’s true, 180 cookies is a lot, but if you have a big event to plan for or enough room in your freezer, the frozen version is definitely a much better deal.
But that’s not all. The same strategy applies to other frozen baked products, like bagels and bread.
