3. The Hotel de Salto
The Hotel de Salto is a haunted abandoned hotel located in Tequendama Falls, Columbia. It was first opened in 1928 to hold the tourists that wanted to visit the Tequendama Falls, the 433 feet tall waterfall which was extremely popular for its looks and surroundings. Everything went smoothly until the early 90’s when reports of contaminated water made a lot of tourists lose interest in visiting this area, and because of that, the hotel closed its doors. During the period when it was abandoned, a lot of “ghost hunters” were exploring the place, and there were tons of interesting reports regarding the presence of some spirits. A lot of scary videos were shared on social media, and if you listen carefully, in one of them you might hear a loud cry from within the building at night.
Despite all the weird stuff that happened there, 22 years later, the building was turned into a museum that became really popular very fast because of all the rumors and legends that were created around it.
