4. Santa Claus, Arizona
“Jingle bells, jingle bells/Jingle all the way/ Oh, what fun it is to ride/ In a one-horse open sleigh, hey!”
This song brightened my childhood mornings during the winter holidays, so I always associated snow with Christmas. And honestly, I never thought about a place in the middle of a desert that was entirely dedicated to all things Christmas. Well, this place exists, and it was founded in 1937 by Nina Talbot in an attempt to attract tourists to move to this area, which wasn’t very populated at that time.
She probably thought that the Christmas spirit brings everybody together and will convince folks to come here more often. Even if the place is not very well preserved, you can still visit it for free.
