Have you ever been to Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia? If the answer is no, then maybe you should at least put it on your list. Worth it! In terms of unusual facts, the pyramids are said to have been built between 2589 and 2504 BC and took 85 years to complete. Gaudi’s masterpiece began construction in 1882 and still remained unfinished. Weird, right?
It is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, on the 100th anniversary of Gaudi’s death. No more than 144 years of construction. Wow!
Another interesting fact about Spain is that it produces 60% of the European Union’s bananas.
Did you know that it’s illegal to wear a swimsuit in public anywhere but the beach in Barcelona? This ban was put in place in 2011.
