1. Norma Rae (1979)
You know I would start the list by recommending Norma Rae’s movie because it’s a classic! This film, thanks to Sally Field’s outstanding performance, reveals the story of a woman who works at a textile mill under some awful conditions, and of course she is underpaid. After hearing an enthusiastic speech from a labor activist, she decides to risk everything for what she believes is right. Along with some other fellow workers, Norma becomes a labor activist as well. By taking this path, she will almost lose her fiancé and have numerous fights with most of her family members.
