13. She doesn’t know how to apologize
People like this don’t apologize because they don’t feel the need to and because they don’t think they did anything wrong. A mother-in-law who apologizes without admitting any fault on her part is a toxic one.
She usually needs to get out of a situation, and she will say things like “sorry you feel this way”, “I am sorry I care about this situation,” and things like this.
Mothers-in-law, please stop doing this! You don’t need to be sarcastic and treat your child’s partner like that.
It’s not the end of the world to admit you were wrong. We all make mistakes at some point, so don’t worry, nobody’s going to judge you.
