Kurt Cobain
“It’s better to burn out than to fade away.”
Kurt Cobain’s body was found on April 8th, 1994, at his Lake Washington Boulevard home by a workman who had been called to install a security system. Gary Smith, the electrician, said that other than some blood coming out of Cobain’s ear, there was no indication of trauma. In fact, he didn’t even realize the Nirvana rock musician was dead until he saw a shotgun between his knees. He also had fresh injection marks on his arms, which toxicology reports later revealed to be heroin and diazepam.
Cobain’s suicide note was found pinned to a pile of potting soil. It was addressed to his childhood imaginary friend “Boddah” and stated that the grunge icon did not feel excited to listen and create music anymore.
According to the coroner’s office, Cobain had killed himself three days before his body was found. Apart from Kurt Cobain’s death, these 7 Celebrity Deaths in the History of Hollywood have also shocked everyone.
Bob Marley
“Money can’t buy life.”
True to his beliefs, Jamaica’s most famous son did not want to have his toe amputated due to religious reasons, although this might have saved his life. Marley was diagnosed with melanoma skin cancer in 1977 and fought the terrible illness for four years until his untimely death on 11 May 1981 at Cedars of Lebanon Hospital in Miami.
The Jamaican musician left the touching message to his son Ziggy, also a musician, while on his hospital bed. He had been brought for immediate medical intervention after his condition deteriorated rapidly during a flight from Germany to Jamaica. It was too late, though. The melanoma had reached its lungs and brains. Bob Marley died at the age of 36.
