Necks on beer and soda bottles
We’re all familiar with how a beer bottle is shaped and what it was created for. But do you know why beer bottles have those long necks? Well, you’ll be surprised to find out that the bottleneck shape has a really smart purpose: to make it easier for the user to hold the bottle at the top and avoid warming up the rest of their beer with their body heat.
A beer should be served cold and that’s exactly what the bottleneck shape encourages! Next time you find yourself with a warm beer way too soon, just know that you’re the only culprit for not holding the beer bottle right!
