The hole in the pen cap

What is that hole for? You’ve probably wondered at least once in your life about the hole in your pen cap. Heck, we’ve all had. So, what it is doing there? Prepare to be mind blown.

The purpose of that tiny hole in the cap is not to keep the ink flowing, as many might think, but to prevent small children from suffocating in the unfortunate event the cap gets stuck in a kid’s throat.
