Suspicious emails
With all the online purchases people are making nowadays, it’s easy to forget some of them. Sadly, this is exactly what scammers are relying on.
On this note, fraudsters send emails from apparently reputable online payment services like PayPal regarding a recent purchase. You might not recall it or find it suspicious, so you try to cancel the so-called order by clicking on a link. You are then redirected to a website where you need to insert personal information such as name, address and credit card number and that’s how the money stealing begins.
