Nor with your American Express card
Costco and American Express have had a long and fruitful relationship. American Express have even offered some co-branded credit card rewards for warehouse club shoppers, among which the American Express Costco TrueEarnings Card and the American Express Costco Platinum Cash Rebate card. Sadly, these are no longer valid.
Customers who used to pay with the co-branded American Express card have been transferred over to Citibank’s new Costco Anywhere Visa card. This transfer, however, is not the final step. Individual members still need to activate their new cards, but they can also decide not to, especially since the warehouse club will now accept any Visa card anyway.
Apart from Visa cards, Costco members can continue to use cash, debit or Costco Cash cards to make their everyday purchases.
