Most Dental Care
Routine dental visits, teeth cleaning, fillings, dentures or most tooth extractions are not covered by Medicare. There are certain Medicare Advantage plans that cover basic cleaning and x-rays, but you’ll most likely need to pay an annual coverage cap of around $1,500.
One way to cover your dental services is to get a separate dental insurance policy or a dental discount plan. A better option would be to save money in a health savings account prior to enrolling in Medicare. The money can subsequently be used tax-free for any medical, dental and other out-of-pocket costs at any age.
