Similar to detergents, the Cleveland Clinic has also included all-purpose cleaners, oven cleaners, and window and glass cleaners on their list of household products with dangerous effects on people’s health. As explained by the clinic, “depending on the ingredients used, all-purpose cleaners can irritate the skin, eyes, nose and throat. They can be highly poisonous to both humans and animals if swallowed.”
The alternative, as per their suggestions, is to try homemade cleaners, whose ingredients you know. Not only will they not pose a risk to your health, but they will also help you save some bucks in the process.
