Paying with cash is obsolete. Although there are still some advantages to paying with cash, it is clear that using cards for payments is now the preferred method given the present coin shortage and the growing number of companies that no longer accept cash due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Cash provides none of the loss, theft, or fraud protection that credit and debit cards do. If you pay cash for an expensive product, you can lose out on warranties and other purchasing protections.
