Use your coupons
Now that you’ve found the coupons, don’t forget to use them if you want to continue saving on your groceries.
“When Publix has its weekly sales, people should focus on using their coupons on the items that are on sale BOGO (buy one, get one free) to maximize their savings,” said Lisa Sims, author of “Digital Coupon Savings 411.”
Combine coupons
Since we are on the subject of coupons, let’s carry on with the useful tips on how to use them. It’s actually something that most people disregard when it comes to grocery coupons. Curious to know if you’re doing the same thing?
Well, according to Elledge, people need to master the skill of combining coupons and let the combination work in their favor.
“If the coupon says it is a store coupon, you can also use a manufacturer’s coupon on that same purchase,” he said. “That’s because the store is paying for the additional discount. This is called coupon stacking.”
Certain manufacturer coupons for food can also be paired with a store offer or incentive. Put these multiple savings together and you could set aside 70 to 80 percent.
