Apart from expressing your feelings through images, add your own voice into the mix. You never know, maybe you’ll turn out to be the next best writer of the year. Even if not, you can still bring in cash without a high-powered book contract, by posting your writings on self-publishing platforms.
For instance, Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing, makes it quite easy for you to write, upload and sell your work. You could also sell PDFs of the books through a personal website, if you have any, or use a payment platform called e-Junkie to handle payments and deliver the book downloads. This might bring you even more money per book than Amazon does.
If you’re a fan of a particular genre, focus on writing about that. Nonfiction such as cookbooks, travel guides, history, memoirs are also popular among readers. If you have a specific skill to teach, that’s even better.
To make sure people find out about your book, promote it online or locally. Local libraries and colleges might be willing to host author talks or readings, after which you can sell paperback copies. If your book is for kids or is on a topic that’s useful to older children, try joining a book fair or attend school talks.

If you possess useful and interesting information, why not cash in on it? With the help of sites such as Teachable, Udemy and Thinkific, you could create a course that could improve someone’s professional or personal life.
Your course doesn’t even need to have a computer-based topic. People are interested in a whole host of things such as cake-making, watercolors, digital scrapbooking, drone cinematography, free-diving, blacksmithing, yoga, parenting, novel writing, job hunting and building a pet-care business. And that’s just to name a few examples I’ve come across while doing a quick Google search.
Similar to writing an e-book, creating a course will take some work and effort. But the principle’s the same: once it’s up, your work is done.
