First of all, cryptocurrency is nothing else than a form of digital money. This type of payment has the ability to be changed online for goods, products and services.
This works by using a technology called blockchain, which is a decentralized technology spread across a lot of computers that record the transactions.
Cryptocurrency is not released by any central authority, such as government. That means it is immune to the interference or manipulation of a central authority.
The first cryptocurrency that was invented and which is also the most popular is Bitcoin. It was invented in 2008 by someone with the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. Nowadays there are a lot of cryptocurrency companies, with many functions and proprieties.
In order to make some money and have a passive income, you can start staking crypto coins that use the proof-of-stake model. This means the process of how new transactions are added to the blockchain. The people who are invested in cryptocurrency forfeit their coins to the cryptocurrency protocol. After that, the protocol continues by choosing some validators that can approve the blocks of transactions. Long story short, the more coins you have, the more likely you are to be confirmed by the validators.
Each time there’s a new cryptocurrency added to the blockchain, there are new coins that are being divided as staking rewards to that block’s validator. In order words, staking cryptocurrency coins means that you put them to work for you. If you don’t want to stake anymore, you can always stop and trade the coins.
2. Podcast
Podcasting is a way to make your voice heard on the Internet. When you have a podcast, you are broadcasting usually audio content (but it can be video as well) to the public. You can choose a topic and you can talk about that or you can have some guests over.
Besides building a community of followers and listeners, you can make money through podcasting in a few ways:
- affiliate marketing – you mention something on your show and if there are people who are purchasing something you recommended, you will get some money.
- courses – for example, you teach people how to create their own podcasts.
- premium content – it is accessible just for those who are willing to pay some extra money in order to receive more information or content.
- physical products – when your podcast is popular, you can start creating some products/merch that you can sell to your community.
