Colorado’s effective property tax rate is rather low, but homeowners have to pay quite hefty taxes on a median-priced home. Still, the “Colorful State” has the second-highest median household income on our list, making taxes a little bit more tolerable.
Our next state used to be called the Land of Opportunity, for good reason…..
