1. Nature’s Nectar Fruit Punch
If we compare Aldi’s Nature’s Nectar Fruit Punch to Capri Sun’s Fruit Punch, we can see that they contain approximately the same ingredients and they have almost the same taste.
Aldi’s version contains less sugar than Capri’s, even though both brands only use 10% fruit juice. Given the fact that Aldi’s juice has more flavor and less watery taste, and it’s also cheaper, it’s worth giving it a try!
2. Aldi’s Benton’s Fig Bars
If we compare Benton’s Fig Bars with the original product, Nabisco’s Fig Newtons, you’ll see that they have a similar taste and packaging. The different thing that stands out the most, in this case, is the fact that Aldi’s version has a softer cookie exterior, but the filling is almost the same.
An interesting thing about this is the fact that they have the same ingredient list, but the order is different. According to the FDA website, the order of the ingredients stands for the percentage in which they were used.
Long story short, ingredients that are mentioned first or second are used in higher quantities compared to the other ones.
On Nabisco’s list, the first listed ingredient is figs, while at Benton’s figs are the third. However, if you want to indulge in this snack, but want to get it cheaper, we recommend trying Aldi’s version.
3. Benton’s Chocolate Chip Cookies from Aldi
If we analyze Aldi’s Benton’s Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies and Nabisco’s Chips Ahoy we’ll see that the grocery store version is softer and it has a “homemade” taste, while the others don’t have it.
Even though both of these types of cookies taste delicious, the ones from Aldi are smoother and cost a lot less!
