In January 2022, the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, said that he believes Russia is going to invade the Ukraine. Biden even told Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, that he is going to regret his decision.
Over the last few months, Russia combined approximately 100,000 troops on its border with Ukraine. After a while, Russia started bringing armed forces into Belarus, a country neighboring both Russia and Ukraine, in order to prepare for collective military exercises.
Before withdrawing his armed forces, Putin has made a number of security demands towards the United States. His list includes a restriction on the Ukraine joining NATO and also an agreement for NATO to pull back troops and weaponry from parts of Eastern Europe.
