Coronavirus Loan Scams You Should Watch Out for Right Now
The Federal Communications Commission has issued a warning to all consumers and businesses, urging them to watch out for coronavirus scams, such as phishing attempts by phone, email or text. Here’s what scams have been identified by FCC in relation to the coronavirus crisis:
- A text from a fake FCC Financial Care Center offering $30,000 in COVID-19 relief
- Robocalls advertising student loan repayment plans
- Small businesses receiving calls and emails about fake COVID-19 emergency funding and loans
