2. Smoking or vaping on the plane
Did you know that smoking was something you could do on the plane before the year 2000? Well, in the 1950s, everybody could get some during the flight. During 1973, things changed a bit, and there were special sections of the plane for smokers and non-smokers, but in 2000 it was banned completely. “Ok, totally understandable, but what about vaping?” A lot of people are trying to replace regular cigarettes with vaping, especially because it isn’t that bad and the smell isn’t repulsive. Still, vaping is not allowed in
A flight attendant observed a Spirit Airlines passenger vaping in his seat in 2019. She informed him that smoking wasn’t permitted, but he still chose to light up in the restroom, setting off the smoke alarm.
An officer was dispatched to the gate as a result, and although the passenger wasn’t detained, Spirit barred him from traveling for the rest of his life. On the plus side, now that he can no longer choose the airline with the smallest seat pitch in America, he might be able to experience a more comfortable flight.
