Disposable razors
Americans buy tens of millions of disposable razors every year, as per a report by Statista. Most disposable razors are non-biodegradable, which means billions of pieces of dangerous waste end up in landfills every year.
These items are not easily recyclable as they are made from different materials, such as metal, plastic, rubber. Unfortunately, only a small number of companies, such as Gillette, provide recycling options to their customers, but it is definitely not enough.
To turn shaving into an eco-friendly endeavor but also cut some of your annual costs, look for razors with reusable handles, so, you’ll only need to replace the blades. One other way would be to opt for a safety razor, which is less expensive and more convenient to recycle.
