Routine Vision Care
Apart from dental services, routine eye exams or glasses are also not covered by Medicare (except for the annual eye exams if you suffer from diabetes or eyeglasses after having cataract surgery).On the other hand, there are certain Medicare Advantage plans that do offer vision coverage. You could also look for separate supplemental policies that cover vision care or both dental and vision care.
If you use the same approach and put some money aside in a health savings account before you enroll in Medicare, you could make use of that money for glasses, contact lenses, prescription sunglasses and any other out-of-pocket expenditures for vision care.
