Airlines may reduce legroom
No one likes to sit with their knees wedged up against the seatback in front of them, but it happens anyway during air travels. And things are about to get even worse.
According to Sara Rathner, travel expert at NerdWallet, “The FAA is testing to see if seating configurations get in the way of passengers’ ability to evacuate a plane within 90 seconds”. “But who knows, maybe in the future, we’ll stand on planes and hold onto straps like we’re riding in a sky subway,” Rathner says.
This means instead of providing more legroom to flyers, airlines will shrink it as much as possible. Talk about dark scenarios!
